The Focus of our Efforts

We welcome support in many forms: 

attending AMVETS & SONS events, donations, labor during events, contribute a special skill, etc.

Honor and Education

The Sons of AmVets  Squadron 127 is a leader in the Rusk County community and ensures that local veterans needs and priorities come first. Our Education and Honors program offers many opportunities to provide education about caring for those who have served and also supports scholarships for young graduates considering military service. We stand with our Veterans during many local ceremonies of service and are there to honor veterans as they are laid to rest. Become a part of a brighter future and join our efforts today.

Volunteering

The Sons of AmVets Squadron 127 in Ladysmith WI provides volunteer  community service to provide and support charitable assistance to veterans, their families, and community. If you are a male family member of a current or past service member,  Join today.

Examples :

Escorting WWII Veterans to the State Capitol to receive recognition........

Building safe steps for a WWII veteran's daughter being treated for cancer

Helping local veterans with home repairs, maintenance. and building wheelchair ramps for their homes.

Local Empowerment

Feeling like there are countless pressing issues that no single program could make a marked difference? Our efforts to increase empowerment for local veterans and their families has proven to be a powerful tool for Sons of AmVets Squadron 127 to successfully serve our community and improve countless lives.

We have raised funds through:

Sponsoring a Circus event

Concert events

Summer Brat Stand at local grocery store

Food Booth at Mardi Gras

Calendar Raffle- 2024

 

We have donated funds to support:

Dan Glaze Memorial Scholarship Fund

Drop Zone equipment 

Purchase of flags for veterans' graves

Warhawks Service dogs ( PTSD service dogs)
